Abimbola Oladokun, often known as Bayanni, is a rising Nigerian Afrobeat musician who was born on June 25, 1997. 

He gained notoriety after Don Jazzy signed him to Mavin Records, the biggest label in Nigeria. Zhenoboy was Bayanni’s previous stage name before he signed with Mavin Records.

Early Life and Education 

Bayanni was born on June 25, 1997 in Lagos State, Nigeria’s Southwest geopolitical region. He was raised in Lagos State, where he started his academic career, together with his parents and siblings.

When Bayanni was younger, he really loved using his father’s radio to listen to music. When he was young, he developed a liking for Afrobeat.

He is a devout Christian who does not hide from his beliefs. As she grew older, Bayanni began singing in the church choir.

He attended primary and secondary schools in Lagos before being accepted to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), where he is currently enrolled.

Bayanni Career

While he was still in secondary school, Bayanni started his music career, but he didn’t get the chance, so he decided to keep working hard.

As a result of listening to artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and Olamide, he began to perform Afrobeat instead of Christian music.

Bayanni, who had previously been associated with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), until he made news by signing to Don Jazzy’s label.

With the help of his parents, he began writing songs, practicing at home, and visiting studios even though he wasn’t earning any money.

Within a few months of noticeably developing his songwriting and vocal abilities, Bayanni went to local recording studios to record his tunes.

Bayanni began to record covers of popular songs to further his career, which he then posted on his social media pages.

In April 2021, he recorded Ckay’s Felony and made it available. He recorded a rendition of Jowo by Davido for October 14, 2021. Five days later, on October 19, 2021, he published a cover of Fireboy DML’s Peru.

On April 12th, 2022, Bayanni released his most awaited song, African Beauty, which was produced by Blaise Beatz and mixed and mastered by Michael Synx.

The crisp visual for the popular song was created by Pharouk Damilola Films, who also produced an outstanding music video.

In August 2022, Bayanni was formally revealed as a new member of the Mavin Records team following a brief absence from the media.

A quick sketch with Mr Funny, Don Jazzy, and BrainJotter in a lab environment was included with the announcement.

His announcement was supported, in keeping with Mavin Records tradition, by The Bayanni EP, a 4-track recording with an exclusive license from Mavin Global Holdings.
