Early Life and Education
Dhnda Luka Bulus Madaki, better known as BOC Madaki, was born in Bauchi State, Nigeria, on September 22, 1993. He is specifically from Bauchi State’s Logoro Local Government Area. He is a member of the Zhar tribe, one of Bauchi’s minority ethnic groups.
In a family of five children, he is the firstborn and the lone male. His parents both work for the government. Martha, Elizabeth, Mary, and Bridget are his four sisters out of a total of eight siblings. Martha died on January 24, 2013, while Mary went away in 2001.
His basic and secondary education were completed in Yelwa Practising School in Yelwa, Bauchi, and G.D.S.S. Bauchi in Shadawanka Army Barracks, respectively. At the School of Agriculture, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic in Bauchi, he also earned a diploma in estate management.
BOC Madaki Career
BOC got his start as a rapper in 2003, influenced by a friend named Slash D and a weekly religious event called “Liberation Hour”.
He began as a gospel performer alongside Slash D and his brother Chesquer, but once their relationship broke down, he continued performing as a single gospel performer.
In 2004, he was given the chance to make his stage debut in a church in the neighbourhood of “Bayara.” Later, Slash D joined him, and the two of them performed and recorded “D-Hood’s” debut song as a group. He used the stage name “Diamond” during that time.
In 2007, he broke off his relationship with Slash D and changed his name from Diamond to B.O.C. After signing a management agreement with “Toss a Coin” for a while, he made a successful comeback as an independent artist in 2013.
He put out popular songs including This Year, All Na Paro, Black Diary, Farida, Good Morning, One of a Kind, Dan Gaye, and Black Diary.
His 2017 album Sorry Please Thanks, which has smash songs like Pennates, Do That, Himma, Sir Abubakar, Big Brother, Really Real, Knock Knock, and others, was released.
