Jibola Dabo was born August 14, in Lagos state, a geographical area of south-western Nigeria that is occupied predominantly by the Yoruba speaking people of Nigeria.
Dabo is originally from Owo, a tiny village in Nigeria’s Ondo State. Dabo completed his primary and secondary schooling as well as his college degree in Nigeria. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Lagos.
Following his education in Nigeria, Dabo moved to the United States to continue his studies and earn a master’s degree. He studied at Columbia State University and earned a mass media master’s degree.

According to reports, Jibola Dabo began acting in school stage plays when he was six years old. In 2006, Dabo made his formal debut in the Nigerian film industry, known as Nollywood.
Dabo costarred with Tonto Dikeh and the late Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe in the film Dirty Secrets, which can be considered Nollywood’s most controversial film of 2009 and the most important of his career.
Dabo aspired to serve as a representative for the Owo federal constituency in Ondo State in the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives in 2015.
