Early Life and Education
Lucky Aiyedatiwa was born on January 12, 1965, he hails from Obe-Nla, an oil-bearing community in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Between 1970 to 1976, Lucky attended Saint Peter’s UNA (now FAC) Primary School, Obe Nla/Obe Adun in Ondo State’s Ilaje LGA. In 1982, he completed his secondary studies at Ikosi High School in Ketu, Lagos.
He graduated from Lagos State College of Education (now Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education), in Ijanikin, Lagos, with a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Economics and Government in 1986. In 2001, he enrolled at the University of Ibadan to earn an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.
He graduated from Pan Atlantic University, Lekki, Lagos’ Lagos Business School, where he earned a postgraduate certificate in chief executive education (CEP) in business management in 2009.
Lucky Aiyedatiwa graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2013 from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.

Between 1982 and 1983, Lucky Aiyedatiwa was employed as an Inventory/Store Officer at the Scoa Assembly Plant Plc. in Apapa, Lagos. He served as the Reliance International Schools’ assistant head teacher in 1987 at Ijokodo, Ibadan.
In 1990, he was appointed marketing officer at Universal Pharmaceutical Supply Co. Ltd. in Ikeja, Lagos. He worked as an assistant investment analyst in 1992. He served as general merchandise manager for Biz Mart Nigeria Limited in 1994 before moving to Global Trust Limited in Gbagada, Lagos.
Lucky Aiyedatiwa founded the Blue Wall Group of Companies in 1996. Its members include the trading company Blue Wall Nigeria Ltd., the IATA-licensed travel agency and logistics firm Blue Wall Safety Travels and Tours, and the foreign exchange trading business Blue Wall BDC Nigeria Ltd.
As a card-carrying member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which eventually combined with other political parties to become the All Progressive Congress (APC), he entered active politics in 2011.
Aiyedatiwa attended the 2014 All Progressive Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja as one of the Ondo State National Delegates. In the 2015 Presidential and National Assembly General Elections, he ran for the position of federal House of Representative for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.
The Independent National Electoral Commission confirmed that Ondo State’s governor and deputy governor, Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa, had been re-elected on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa were sworn in as the governor and deputy governor of Ondo State on February 25, 2021, respectively.
