Mallam Nuhu Ribadu was born on November 21, 1960, he is a former Nigerian police officer and politician who was the Chairman of the Petroleum Revenue Task Force and a former Nigerian government anti-corruption official. 

He served as the first Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a government agency in Nigeria entrusted with battling fraud and corruption. He started working as a visiting fellow at the Center for Global Development in April 2009.

He remained in exile up until 2010, when he announced his intention to run for president of Nigeria on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform. Nuhu Ribadu was selected as the ACN’s presidential candidate on Friday, January 14, 2011.

He joined the PDP in August 2014 with the goal of running for governor of Adamawa State in northeastern Nigeria.

Nuhu Ribadu Education 

From 1980 to 1983, Ribadu pursued legal studies at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna State, earning a Bachelor of Laws degree. In 1984, after spending a year at the Nigerian Law School, he was admitted to the bar.
