Early Life and Education
Although OC Ukeje was born and reared in Lagos State, in the Southwest of Nigeria, he is originally from Umuahia, in Abia State.
He was raised in Lagos with a family of three, of which he is the second kid. Federal Government College, located in Ojo, Lagos, is where OC Ukeje completed his secondary education.
In his first year at the University of Lagos, he played the lead in a theatrical play, which gave him his acting debut.

OC Ukeje pursued acting and music after beginning his acting career in a stage play at the University of Lagos.
During the first four years of his career, he focused mostly on stage shows until he tried out for and was successful on the reality TV show Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO).
He made his screen debut in the 2007 film White Waters, which was directed by Izu Ojukwu and starred Rita Dominic and Joke Silva. In 2008, he won the City People’s Award for Best New Act, and in 2010, he won the Best Upcoming Actor title at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
Ukeje persisted in penning songs, creating radio jingles for corporate organisations, and working with a few producers and artists from Nigeria.
He was employed in both film and television from 2008 until 2012. He was a cast member in the television series Wetin Dey, produced by the BBC World Service Trust, which had its world premiere in 2007 at the International Emmy World Television Festival.
Additionally, OC Ukeje starred in films such as Awakening, Confusion Na Wa, and Comrade in both lead and supporting parts. As “rising talents” in 2016, he and Somkele Iyamah were invited to the Toronto International Film Festival.
