Early Life and Education
Taiwo Odukoya was born on June 15, 1956 in the city of Kaduna, Colonial Nigeria, where he was also raised.
He had his primary and secondary education at Baptist Primary School, Kigo Road, Kaduna and St. Paul’s College (now known as Kufena College, Wusasa) Zaria respectively, before proceeding to the University of Ibadan in 1976 where he obtained a degree in petroleum engineering in 1981.
As a petroleum engineer, he started work at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in April 1982 after the compulsory one-year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) scheme, and served there until his voluntary retirement in January 1994 after his call to the ministry.

Taiwo Odukoya started his career as a petroleum engineer with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), where he remained until his voluntary retirement in January 1994 after being called to the ministry.
In 1992, Taiwo and his first wife Bimbo Odukoya co-founded The Fountain of Life Church with the express purpose of educating both men and women on how to create enduring relationships.
He established a programme for men and women in 1997 to help them reach their full potential. Since then, the church has held numerous outreach events attended by hundreds of thousands of men and women, and it also operates a vocational centre for those who possess technical and real-world skills.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya had a beneficial influence on thousands of people’s lives during his time as a pastor, preacher, and life coach. He also made significant contributions to hospitals, orphanages, residences, and many other institutions in society.
Personal Life
His friendship with Bimbo Odukoya Williams, which they had developed while attending the University of Ibadan, grew into a committed marriage in 1984.
Three children were born into their union. Bimbo Odukoya and 102 other people perished in the crash of Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 on December 10, 2005.
