Saheed Balogun was born on February 5, 1967, in Enugu State, South-East Nigeria but hails from Oyo State, Nigeria where he had his primary, secondary and tertiary education respectively. He graduated from Kwara State Polytechnic.

Early in the 1980s, Saheed Balogun began his acting career by joining the Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group, which was established by famed Nigerian actor Ojo Ladipo, commonly known as Baba Mero.
Balogun soon began landing roles in films as a result of the filmmakers’ interest in his acting abilities. In 1989’s “City Girl,” which was released, he made his acting debut.
He then acted in a number of Nollywood productions, such as “Diamond Ring,” “Owo Blow,” “Ti Oluwa Ni Ile,” and “Asewo to re Mecca.”
