Stella Okotete is a popular Nigerian Politician, Philanthropist and humanitarian. She was appointed by His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on April 20, 2017, to be the Executive Director, Business Development of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM).

Hon. Stella had a brief political career before being appointed as the Special Assistance (SA) MDG’s in Delta State. She had previously held the elected office of Councillor in the Ughelli-North Local Government Area, which enabled her better grasp the socioeconomic requirements of underserved regions.

Her duties at NEXIM also include overseeing the business development division of the bank to ensure peak performance and providing operational leadership for the bank. She also conceptualises and develops new products and services while also improving the ones that already exist.
Over time, she spearheaded initiatives for the Export Development Fund, including the “Women and Youth Export Facility” and the “Small and Medium Export Enterprise Facility.”
