On October 1, 1963, Tajudeen Abbas was born in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He started his academic career at Kaduna Teachers College (KTC), where he graduated in 1981 with a grade II certificate.
Then, he moved on to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1988.
Later, in 1993, he graduated from the same college with a master’s in business administration. At Usman Danfodio University in Sokoto, he continued his education by earning a PhD in business management there in 2010.

Tajudeen Abbas’s professional history is just as varied as his academic training. From 1981 to 1988, he worked as a primary school teacher before beginning his career as a lecturer at a polytechnic in 1989.
He began working as a lecturer at Kaduna State University (KASU) in 1993 and continued to do so till 2001. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas served as the marketing manager at NTC Plc from 2001 to 2005.
2011 saw the election of Hon. Tajudeen Abbas to the National Assembly to represent the Zaria Federal Constituency. On the All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket, he was re-elected in 2015.
