Teni Zaccheaus JR. was born in June 27, better known by his stage name Teezee (stylized as TeeZee) is an English-Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive.
Together with Fresh L and BOJ, he makes up one-third of the musical trio DRB LasGidi. He is currently the co-president of NATIVE Records and the co-founder of The NATIVE Networks, which includes The Native and NATIVE Records as subsidiaries. The crossover success of the Odumodublvck hits “Picanto” and “Declan Rice” is attributed to him as an alté pioneer.

Early Life and Education
Teniola Zaccheaus JR. was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised between London, England, and Lagos, Nigeria. Teni started composing music with BOJ and Fresh L in year 9 (JSS 3), while still attending Malvern College in Malvern, Worcestershire, England.
He gave appreciation to his father, Teni Zaccheaus Sr., for providing him with a musical education while he was growing up in an interview with The Crack Magazine author Rob Dozier on March 9, 2022. During the conversation, he stated: “His father ran nightclubs in Lagos when he was a kid, so he had to be on top of what was hot on the radio.”
Teezee Career
In 2007, Teezee joined DRB LasGidi together with his classmates BOJ and Fresh L. In the beginning of his career, he also performed under the name Teniola Zacchaeus. The term “Fresh Prince of LasGidi” was first used in 2013 to refer to his debut studio album, Fresh Prince of LasGidi.
Along with BOJ and Fresh L, he is recognised as one of Nigeria’s first generations of self-publishing musicians who utilised the internet’s resources by posting their songs on SoundCloud and YouTube.
Teezee was hired as a marketing executive and creative consultant for Eventful and Harbour Point Event Centre, both in Lagos, on March 3, 2020 by Eventful CEO Yewande Zaccheaus. He collaborated with American rapper Kid Cudi on the song “Peace of Mind” from Skepta’s sophomore extended play All In on July 30, 2021.
He released “BADI” with Davido as the lead single from his debut studio album Arrested by Love on November 11, 2021. The music video for the song was influenced by old Nollywood movies from the ’00s.
He released “NEW GOVERNMENT” on December 17, 2021, as the second lead single from Arrested by Love, with Prettyboy D-O and Kofi Mole.
He released “NOK’D” with Deto Black as the third single from Arrested by Love on February 4, 2022. Chukwuka Nwobi and Sanjo Omosa directed the music video for the song.
He released his debut studio album, Arrested by Love, on February 18, 2022. Davido, Prettyboy D-O, Kofi Mole, Midas the Jagaban, DETO BLACK, Pa Salieu, Lancey Foux, BACKROAD GEE, and Teni had guest performances on the record. In honour of his album Arrested by Love, Jameson Irish Whisky debuted a special edition bottle on September 9, 2022.
