Prince Jide Kosoko was born on January 12, 1954, in Lagos, Nigeria, to the Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island. His father, Prince Adeyinka Kosoko, was a famous traditional musician, while his mother, Henrietta Kosoko, was a renowned actress.
After completing his primary and secondary education, Jide Kosoko enrolled at the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, where he studied Business Administration.
